  Original Christianity

Small Roundtable of the Original Christians in Universal Life
Original Christianity – For or Against?
May 13, 2007
Many a listener may ask himself: Isn’t Original Christianity a bygone movement, which in its day consisted of Jews and pagans who joined together after the death of Jesus and appeared as the early Christians over one or two centuries, until the Church developed out of the Early Christian communities?
Since then, many are of the opinion that there is not much to say about Original Christians, but only about Christians. And supposedly, Original Christians sank into oblivion. But in reality, what took place was quite different. In actuality, the Original Christian stream never dried up; instead, purified Christians, mystics and enlightened men and women appeared again and again. They envisioned an inner Christianity and taught this; but they were suppressed by the churches over and over again and often paid with their lives for advocating a true Christianity. The best known of these groups were the Cathars, who were eradicated by the Church.
In this connection, we could mention the Manichaens and Bogumiles, who were likewise persecuted. We can also think of great personalities like Origen, or Meister Ekkart, who escaped the Inquisition with great effort and hardship, or Savonarola, who was executed by the Inquisition.
In this connection, some may also think of female mystics like Mechthild of Magdeburg or Birgitta of Sweden, and still others who appear to have had, at least in part, the gift of prophecy.
Today, dear listeners, the Original Christian source, which flowed to these people, has once more become a mighty stream. Inspired by the prophetic word of Gabriele, the prophetess and spiritual ambassador of God for our time, the community of the Original Christians in Universal Life has developed. It is directly linked to the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, especially to the Sermon on the Mount, and beyond this, to the revelations from the divine-spiritual world given through the prophetess of the present time. In these revelations, the life of Jesus is described in detail, and the significance of His sacrifice on Golgotha and His resurrection is explained. Mankind learns that the Christ of God who was incarnated in Jesus is presently drawing closer to the earth to establish the Kingdom of Peace of Jesus Christ, with His faithful ones. And not lastly, in these Christ-revelations, the Inner Path to God is also taught, a path of self-recognition and neighborly love for our fellow man, for nature and animals. And so, we can say that the Original Christians are here again. They have received many gifts from the spiritual world and want to pass these gifts of grace on to their fellow human beings. Each one should be able to examine for himself what Original Christianity means, how it differs from the Christianity of the churches, and how it can help the individual as well as all of mankind to deal with the problems of life on earth today.
The Original Christians are here again. Is it actually so that all those who call themselves Original Christians are really, yes, truly, for Christ? Or are there Original Christians who fluctuate a lot in their “for and against”? The goal of an Original Christian is always the following of Jesus, the Christ, through the step-by-step fulfillment of the teachings of Jesus, which, above all, is reflected in the Sermon on the Mount.
Do we keep the goal in sight: for Christ – then for us there is no “against” the great Spirit. If there are Original Christians who think “for or against,” one can conclude: They are not Original Christians.
Original Christianity is a Christianity of deed, this means, to do what Jesus, the Christ, said: “Every one who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man.” The for and against - a little bit of Original Christianity, a little bit of all too humanness, which is the same as sinfulness - this causes a huge discrepancy in the person, so that we can say that he has not decided. And so, Christ more or less requires a decision for Him, because He said in his Sermon on the Mount: “Be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect.” No person, including Original Christians, is already perfect, but Christ gives us the goal of becoming perfect on the Inner Path, to be perfect when the goal has been reached.
Could we say that Inner Christianity is the devotion to the great Spirit in us, that first of all, we feel ourselves to be sons and daughters of God and believe that there is an eternal Father, and a Son, whom we may call Christ, and who wants to dwell in us more and more and to guide us more, not externally, but from within, to the spiritual principles of life, which result in a life in His will?
Jesus said to us: “The Kingdom of God is within, in you.” And so, this means that every person is the temple of the Holy Spirit, for the Kingdom of God, the Being, the law of life, is in the very basis of the soul. And thus, God, the life, is omnipresent in each one of us. Original Christians do not go to churches of stone. Why not? What did Jesus essentially say about churches of stone?
Jesus of Nazareth essentially referred to a statement from Isaiah, who already said: “Thus, says the Lord: Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool; what is the house you would build for me …?” (Is. 66:1)
And so, this means that Original Christians may very well meet together; they pray together and have modest meeting rooms, but they go into their inner being, as they say, which means, into the inner kingdom that is anchored in the very basis of the soul, and they pray to within, to God, their Father, to Christ, their Redeemer.
Jesus never spoke of intermediaries. A priest sees himself as an intermediary. But Jesus said: “Follow Me.” He did not say: “Follow a priest, an intermediary.” “Follow Me!” And so, the whole priesthood is a concoction of human indifference.
And for centuries, this caste of priests has prevented Inner Christianity from being applied, by claiming that the Sermon on the Mount cannot be lived, by preaching about the Ten Commandments only externally, but hardly putting them into practice itself.
The Inner Christianity, that is, “Turn within, into your temple and pray in you,” is the true Christianity. And so, the question is: Why were the Cathars, the Manichaens, Bogumiles, all those communities, persecuted and in the end, done away with? By whom? – by the caste of priests.
And what did Jesus say: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
To be an Original Christian means to work on oneself. To be an Original Christian means to never, ever, lose sight of the goal of becoming one with God, our Father, through Christ, our Redeemer, and to grow closer to the great Spirit, day after day, step by step. The hints of where things are lacking in a person are ultimately the person’s days. Each day brings different worries, joys, needs and much more. And each day is the day of the individual. And so, the day is a like a pointing finger and a hint of what is present in us people as all too human aspects, we also say sinfulness. And how do we recognize this? When we get very, very upset, and for example, blame the other one for our worries, our troubles and woes; when we are against our neighbor in our thoughts, and also with our words; when we instigate wars, hostilities; when we are against murder and perhaps still condone manslaughter – then this means that we are against Christ, even though we are in a church institution and go to a so-called worship service, or even Holy Mass, every day.
To follow Jesus, the Christ means to work on oneself, to make use of each day, with the question: What do these thoughts or these peculiar images in my consciousness want to tell me? What does this person who is yelling at me today want to tell me? A colleague at work who disparages me, my boss who is dissatisfied with my work? They are all hints from the day, from which Original Christians should read what is going on with them when they get totally upset. On the other hand, the Church took all this away from its faithful. There it is said: It is enough to believe in Christ. If that were so, then this world would be in better shape, because many people say: “I believe in God” or “I believe in Christ.” Well, if belief were enough, then nature would also be healthy, then the animals could live in peace, then there would be the great unity. But that’s not how things are. The earth is shaken up. The mood among the people is not especially good. But if I believe in Christ, everything must have already been forgiven, everything already forgotten. Or as they say: “Jesus took all our sins upon Himself on the cross.” Well, if that were so, then each one of us would be pure and would live the law of love, of freedom, unity and brotherliness. Then we would all be conscious children, sons and daughters, of God, and the earth would breathe a sigh of relief.
But many could say that that’s very strenuous. Perhaps our listeners could also say: Well, Original Christianity is not simple; you have to do something. You have to make use of the day. You have to question yourself, you have to develop remorse, ask for forgiveness and forgive. And lastly, you should no longer have the same thoughts, use the same words or do the same deeds. That is very strenuous. On the other hand, the Church takes everything away. I go to church and then everything is OK.
One could almost be envious, of the so-called church-Christians, who through confession or several external prayers get rid of their sins in a seemingly easy fashion. But that doesn’t work. And so, we have to get to the root of our feelings, thoughts and actions, which is sometimes somewhat strenuous. But the reward of getting to know oneself, of feeling the power of the Christ of God as help in us, also brings joy and far outweighs this effort.
So, as Original Christians, we must tell our listeners that many a one who externally presents himself as an Original Christian, peddles the following statements, so to speak: “one should,” “one could.” And many a so-called Original Christian, who has grown older with the statements “one should,” “one could,” and “well, it would be good if one would do it,” and so forth – in old age he then says: “one should have done it.”
How do Original Christians actually consider these so-called Original Christians, who had no goal, who use the words “one should,” “one could,” and later, “one should have done it, but …”
Original Christians, who are in the following of the Nazarene, who are also still imperfect, refine their five senses over the course of time for Christ, through which their thoughts and words become nobler and their deeds more selfless. And so, when an Original Christian comes with his constant “one should,” “one could,” “one should have done it,” the Original Christian on the path to Christ knows how he should say it to such a so-called Original Christian. As already said, the words become more refined. One doesn’t simply blurt something out and address one’s neighbor, in order to hurt him. One selects the words. The Original Christian has learned this on the path. For example, an Original Christian on the path would say to a so-called Original Christian: “A question to you: Are you lacking a goal in the Original Christian sense?” Or: “We are all imperfect, but we do have to ask ourselves: Don’t we have the day, which gives us indications for recognizing ourselves, providing that we have the goal?”
Or an Original Christian on the path says: “Let’s think of the Sermon on the Mount – What you want others to do for you, do it for them first.” Or: “Well, see the positive in your neighbor for a change! He is not only negatively polarized; he also has something good!” To look at the good, to affirm the good, leads us again to ourselves, so that we can ask ourselves: What is going on with us? And so, the senses become ever finer and our words nobler and more conscious.
We Original Christians have received the Christ Year from Jesus, the Christ, our Redeemer, who is also the prophetic spirit in the present time. And so, this means: Christ in us – Christ in our neighbor. Perhaps we could give our listeners a small help from the Christ Year. In us, near our heart, is the great source of Christ, the redeeming power. Thus, the power of the Christ of God is pulsating near our heart. So we can place our right hand near our heart, that is, on our chest, and feel into ourselves and call on Christ in us.
Christ, You are in us. You are the power and the love, the wisdom and greatness. Please stand by me! – And then we say deep into our inner being: Christ in me” – And Christ in my neighbor! – When we speak these words into our inner being from our heart and filled with meaning, we suddenly become calm. We step back somewhat, which means that our ego steps back and we will choose completely different words in relation to our neighbor. Then hostility or strife can even become friendship.
How very much has fanned the tradition of the church the fear of the God of hatred, and how countless people and souls were twisted through this. And Original Christianity has always stood for the God of love, just as Jesus, the Christ, taught us. And today again, in the new Original Christian stream, the Father is giving His divine love in an unending fullness, in countless books, in thousands of revelations, in thousands upon thousands of schoolings for mankind through Gabriele. God is truly a God of love.
No one of us is alone. These words should reach our hearts: No one of us is alone. The Spirit of God dwells in each one of us. The Spirit of God is love. He knows us. He knows about us. He feels our needs and worries. He knows our infirmities and suffering. He wants to help us; yes, He wants to stand by us. He wants to be our friend. Yes, the great Spirit of love is the Spirit of the Father-Mother-God. It is the Spirit of the eternal Father in the eternal kingdom.
Let us turn to Him. Let us pray to within. Let us set a goal for ourselves: With Christ to God, our Father. Let us set the goal to grow closer to God every day through the step-by-step fulfillment of His holy teachings, then we will feel that God loves us. And we will not only feel that He loves us because we become more free and happier from within; instead we also feel that God, the love, through Christ, our Redeemer, stands by us, that the days become brighter; that it becomes more light-filled at our place of work; that we receive many a guidance; that we sense: He is here; He is present and we are not alone. – this is the great love, which the Original Christians on their path to love, to God, our Father, sense ever more often. Particularly in our turbulent time, it is most important to know that the Spirit of God is in us. We are not forsaken; yes, we are loved and God wants to help us, and He will help us, when we take the steps of the day: nearer to God in us!
