 Steps Toward the Love for God
Gabriele, the prophetess and spiritual ambassador of God for our time, explains this topic in the Cosmic School of Life on March 11, 2001:
Without love for God we will simply tumble about in our days, letting ourselves be driven by it. One gains love for God only when one becomes ever calmer, when one withdraws over and over again and reflects on who we actually are, deep in our being, in the very depths of our soul.
We have to experience and learn that God is present. But we only experience this if we turn off again and again, withdrawing for a brief time and going into rest and quiet. We should not immediately close our eyes, but perhaps let our eyes slide over nature and whatever our eyes fall upon, take into our inner being.
When we then close our eyes, this picture will emerge on the “inner screen” and will speak to us. And so, we should fix this image on our “eye’s screen.” Then it will come again and speak to us. It gives us rest. It gives us strength. These are the impersonal experiences. We feel that in everything there is something that conveys rest and strength to me, that, in the final analysis, gives me secureness.
We are not alone. We are only alone when we think that we have to grasp everything with our head, with our consciousness. But when we grant ourselves a rest every now and then, practically turning off and letting our eyes slide over nature, holding onto what our eyes fall upon and letting it emerge on the inner screen of our eyes and then close our eyes, we will experience the closeness of God. For everything is reflected in our inner being. It is reflected on the screen of our eyes, it is reflected in our soul, it has its effect on our breathing – and we notice that we are not alone. We are secure through a power which is for us invisible, but tangible. These are the steps on the Inner Path, these are the steps towards the love for God.
We notice and we will always experience that the world can offer us no hold anymore. It no longer gives us secureness. No person can give us secureness, not even security. Secureness and security lie alone in the One who is above everything that is taking place in our world. And to go towards Him, to surrender to Him is, in the end, the meaning of our life on Earth, it is our path through the temporal.
