Christmas and New Year -
Traditional Pagan Customs!

EXCERPTS:

Dear Friends all over the world, you have a Gabriele Letter in your hand and are surely asking yourself: Where are the others? – They will reach you one after the other.

The Gabriele Letters are meant to make alert people aware of how weak in character and schizophrenic our society has become and that the majority of people, thoughtlessly and with dulled senses, accept everything that the upper ranks of society prescribe. Unfortunately, few people practice self-criticism. This is why they cannot view their environment critically and see through those who are literally pulling the wool over their eyes.

The Gabriele Letters do not want to influence any person – they stimulate a person to find himself and then to evaluate what he finds, so that the one who views the doings in this world with more alert eyes can give his life an orientation.
Please do not shrug your shoulders too soon; do not, in a way that is resigned and accepting of your fate, join in the gloomy laments of submissive subordinates with the argument: “We can’t change anything, anyway.”

It is true that no one can change another. However, the individual does not have to remain naive. Everyone can start with himself, to question his deep-rooted thought patterns, to put an end to traditional, pagan customs, thus contributing that ever more people awaken, so that ultimately things will go better for Mother Earth and her plants and animals, which have been violated by human beings.

It is Advent. Once more, Christmas is drawing near, that church celebration that takes place with the greatest extravagance and fuss by everyone, whether church-oriented or not. So, let us take a closer look at the traditional Christmas celebration and the time of Advent.
The church institutions place great value on tradition. In the German edition of Bertlemann’s Hand Encyclopedia, we read the following about tradition: “Religion: for many religions the oral or written foundation is the basis of their teachings. In Catholicism, oral tradition and the Bible are considered a common source of divine revelation. The Protestant Lutheran Churches consider tradition to be merely a collection of sources in addition to the Bible.
The basic teachings of the Catholic Church are predominately its dogmas and customs.”

In the encyclopedia we read: “In Catholicism, oral tradition and the Bible are considered a common source of divine revelation.” To think about this in detail would be a waste of time. But we know that for many churches, the Bible is merely a book for show, where it is read from, but which contents and statements ecclesiastic “dignitaries” do not live according to. So why should the faithful keep to it?
The churches consist of tradition and custom. The cloak, or guise, that they drape over these is then called “Christian” and “Biblical.”

Advent and Christmas have become traditional pagan customs. The Christian western world, which has sunk into a Christmas frenzy, into an intoxication of gifts, glitter and tinsel, has forgotten that unique event that happened 2000 years ago: the birth of the Son of God into a human body. The Son of God came to us humans. Today, however, Advent and Christmas no longer have anything to do with the coming of the Lord and His teachings. The church “flock of Christians,” which has become dull and apathetic, celebrates a traditionally ecclesiastical pagan feast, whose roots can be found in the belief in the gods of times past.

But only the fewest want to be reminded of this. For it is all so nicely festive and sentimental. After all, it is a family celebration!
It would be nice if it were the celebration of an intact family; especially since the family of Joseph and Mary symbolize a truly peaceable family. Any yet, how is it in many traditional families today? Perhaps – but only perhaps – one feigns a perfect world for a few hours, especially when eating together the turkey, the goose, the duck or a piece of venison, a roast of wild pig, a cod fish or some other kind of meat delicacy. But while unwrapping the presents, things already begin to “crackle.” Nothing against presents – as long as they come from the heart and the “good luck charm” of happy expectation does not already hang over the present.
Millions of animals are slaughtered on the altar of ecclesiastical tradition for the “holy” feasts, in order to observe, at best, for three to four hours, the sentimental pretense of a sense of family. After all, it is “Christmas.”

Christmas is no longer the celebration of the birth of the Lord, of the Christ of God, into the temporal. It is no longer the family celebration to commemorate Mary and Joseph, but it is the worship of the church’s sun god who has draped the cloak of “Christian” about himself – it is the same one the Catholic Church personifies by its “Holy Father” in Rome and the Protestant-Lutheran Church worships in the “shrine” of Luther.

The sun god is a male divinity, which the people of early times revered in the sun very naturally and as a matter of fact. Today the churches have established a symbolic figure, to whom one should bring sacrifices, and at that, not only by offering oneself in faithful devotion, but also in the form of church taxes, and on top of it, by slaughtering countless animals.
In earlier times, the animals were sacrificed to the gods to make them kind and friendly or “as a pleasing odor for the Lord,” as it says in Moses, or: “... and you shall slaughter the ram, and shall take its blood and dash it against all sides of the altar! Then you shall cut the ram into its parts, and wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its parts and its head, and turn the whole ram into smoke on the altar; it is a burnt offering to the Lord; it is a pleasing odor, an offering by fire to the Lord.” (Exodus 29:16-18)
In the old days, only the priests were allowed to feast on select portions of the slaughtered creatures of God – today the respective “sun god” allows his faithful to consume the carcass pieces themselves that are days old and have been hung up to age. This is the Christmas celebration of the “Christians.”

Many an innocent trusting one could now again point out that it is a celebration of the family which enjoys the particular protection of the state. For me, this brings out the following picture:
It is correct that the family be protected by the state. A child should be born of marriage and into a family. The father and mother should look after the child or children and bring them up with love and care, similar to the family of Mary and Joseph. Therefore, it is good that the family is justly protected by the state. But if we think of the wars all over the world, this fact, like so many others, is a paradox. In war, the fathers are called up and sacrificed for a particular matter or asset, perhaps even for the oil of a country. The family is broken, for instance, by the death of the father, and the mother and children then have to get along on their own. When the main family provider is missing, the mother is forced to work more for their support. She is then often so overburdened that the children are largely left to fend for themselves. What does this have to do with family spirit and the protection of family? And in the event of an imminent war, where is the word of authority on the part of the church institutions for preserving the family, when they so vehemently take a stand for life not yet born, opposing every kind of abortion of a developing life?

Anyone who looks into this world with alert senses knows that perversion is not unlimited, but it is worldwide. Mother Earth is also suffering under this perverted society, and animals, in particular, are suffering. Why should the animals be the ones who have to suffer for every celebration? It’s very clear: The animals, unlike the majority of people, have never allowed, nor will they ever allow themselves to be indoctrinated. The animals did not become Catholic or Lutheran; they don’t belong to any kind of church institution – they remain faithful to the true God.
This is an abomination to the so-called sun gods. Either one sacrifices oneself to pagan custom or one loses and remains without rights, like, for example, the animals. They are creatures without rights, which are hunted in the woods and raised in the fattening factories as meat commodities. And so, the pagan gods demand their tribute, and the people sacrifice themselves by remaining “faithful,” that is, by continuing to support the power position of the sham-Christian institutions, by continuing to busily pay contributions (in Germany these are taxes) into the more than bulging moneybags of the churches and sacrificing the animal world without rights, by having them shot down and slaughtered for the benefit of custom, of tradition, and for the benefit of those who profit from this.

None of this has anything to do with Jesus, the Christ.
Christmas is thus purely pagan.

I would like to give you an example from hunting. At a grain farm, which lies outside of the villages and towns, imbedded in woods and fields, once a week, if not more often, grain is picked up by large grain trucks. From grain silos, it is loaded into the trucks and in this process, some grain falls to the ground and remains lying there. The wild pigs, which are often much cleverer than many humans, have noticed this. Their hunger – for it is autumn and wintertime – drives them to the farm and to the farmers. They retrieve the grain lying on the ground. The farmers who work this farm see the hungry animals. For them, it is clear they should leave for the animals the grain that was not taken by the trucks. Aside from the wild pigs, the chickens are also interested in the grain. They peck and take what they need. And so, the grain on the ground finds its takers. The wild pigs see that these farmers do not chase them away. After all, the animals are hungry.
During the time of Advent, the so-called time of love, the following took place: These wild pigs no longer felt any “hunting pressure.” They became approachable. Speaking from a spiritual point of view, they felt the unity between humans and animals. Because animals are creatures of God and sense peace and unity as a part of the divine inner life, they even did not run from people taking walks. For the hunters of this area, who I assume are Catholic and Lutheran, this is a dangerous matter. Wild animals, so it is said, are normal animals only when they flee from people. This is perverse: If one cannot say they have swine fever, which, please note, comes solely from the barns of factory farming, then one says they are dangerous because they are supposedly acting tame. Then the motto is: One has to hunt them; they should fear people and flee from them.

What is one of the many facts behind this? The hunters want the animals in hunting stress, because only then is shooting down the animals any fun. And so, they have to be chased until they are half dead, so that the Catholic or Lutheran hunter gets his thrill. “Killed” is then triumphantly called “good hunting.” And those who consume the carcass pieces of such a hunted animal convey the “hunter’s thanks” as they chew with great relish. Rabbits, deer and almost everything that moves in the woods and fields experience the same fate. This is Advent and Christmastime.

Dear friends, perhaps you have difficulty with the logic of this? That is not surprising. Much of what we humans think and have as behavior patterns turns out to be absurd when we finally begin to question what has become all too habitual in us. A hunter could do this as well, insofar as he still has any pangs of conscience. It is merely a question of whether he wants to.
In many cases, tradition serves as justification for many a thing which, when looked at in the light, that is, when critically questioned, proves to be an atrocity. And hunting has a long tradition...
Consequently, hunting is a “necessity” sanctioned by the state. It is said that hunting must be done. It is called “care and protection.” The “care” is given by the person who clears away the carrion like the fox does. The person then calls it a delicious gourmet roast.

It is similar with all poultry, with all the animals that are fattened in the barns of factory farming. The words “fattened in the barns” say it all. The animals are kept in the most cramped quarters imaginable, so that their slaughtering weight is not reduced by a lot of unnecessary movement. They are fed a food that is unnaturally concentrated and rich in calories – clearly, simply a “fattening feed.” On top of this, certain additives, cleverly devised chemical substances, see to it that the body of the animal does not convert the food primarily into fatty tissue, but into muscle, which later, when the animals are dead, becomes the meat, the cutlet, the roast and the sausage. Since pale meat is especially favored, the barns are kept as dark as possible.
In order to make the animal carcass pieces tasty, they are roasted, braised, fried or simmered and seasoned from without, with spices of all kinds. Of course, what the animal-carcass-lovers eat along with the meat are the chemical ingredients mentioned before, the medications – hormones, anabolics, antibiotics and many others – which the animal, while still living, stored in his flesh, as well as the deposits that cannot be shown to exist chemically, but which are energetically and specifically present as well: the precipitate produced by fear, panic, aggression, dread, sadness, pain and suffering. All this is a negative energy potential, which is active and has its effect in the one who incorporates them into himself by eating meat.
Thus, the animals for slaughter are fattened before they are killed with the underhanded tool that is called a gun, pistol, bolt-shot, slaughtering knife or whatever, that is, they are transformed into animal carcasses; for only as such do they bring the desired profit and the customary pleasures of the palate.

All of this is for the benefit of the “peaceable people” at Christmastime.
Joyfully ring the “bells,” the cash registers, into which the euphoric meat-eater gives his money, in order to enjoy a feast of roast of animal carcass. Bon appetite to a silent, holy night!

On Christmas Day the annual slogans are voiced. They are called “Christmas speeches.” Before Christmastime there’s not much notice of this. But whoever concerns himself much with politics and politicians soon notices how much they “love” each other. The “Christian” political parties and all those who belong to the Catholic and Lutheran clans have their own particular language of love. They attribute to themselves everything that is a part of their special “Christian ethics and morals.” Anyone who listens closely can hear that both parties have no “Christian” concept at all.
The past “fat years” have not changed the validity of what F. M. Dostoevsky wrote in his famous story “The Great Inquisitor.” Many people still have good hopes that the mighty church institutions and politicians will find a way out, so that the paradise of the “western world” will continue to make one “mentally” and “physically” satiated. But the satiation has become over-acid and over-satiating – and now the “lean years” are creeping up on us. Even though the spirit of the times is gnawing on their purses, the majority of people have not yet awakened. They continue to be subservient, believers of authority, lazy and simple-minded. The hawks exploit this. They have consistently pushed through the system of power and domination that Dostoevsky outlined. I quote the “Great Inquisitor”:

“And then we shall finish building their tower [of Babel], for he finishes the building who feeds them. And we alone shall feed them in Thy name, declaring falsely that it is in Thy name. Oh, never, never can they feed themselves without us! No science will give them bread so long as they remain free. In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet, and say to us, “Make us your slaves, but feed us.” They will understand themselves, at last, that freedom and bread enough for all are inconceivable together, for never, never will they be able to share between them! They will be convinced too, that they can never be free, for they are weak, vicious, worthless and rebellious.
Thou didst promise them the bread of Heaven, but, I repeat again, can it compare with earthly bread in the eyes of the weak, ever sinful and ignoble race of man? And if for the sake of the bread of Heaven thousands and tens of thousands shall follow Thee, what is to become of the millions and tens of thousands of millions of creatures who will not have the strength to forego the earthly bread for the sake of the heavenly? Or dost Thou care only for the tens of thousands of the great and strong, while the millions, numerous as the sands of the sea, who are weak but love Thee, must exist only for the sake of the great and strong? No, we are for the weak too. They are sinful and rebellious, but in the end they too will become obedient. They will marvel at us and look on us as gods, because we are ready to endure the freedom which they have found so dreadful to rule over them – so awful it will seem to them to be free. But we shall tell them that we are Thy servants and rule them in Thy name. We shall deceive them again, for we will not let Thee come to us again.”

Dear friends, don’t go into opposition right away when you have read the statement from Dostoevsky. Opposition reminds me so much of the opposition of a Christian political party, which rejects everything but has no concept itself, no way out of the economic dilemma, to say nothing of the decline of all ethical and moral values that can be seen everywhere.

In the following I quote a song by Reinhard Mey, in which he calls his fellow man to be alert, to become aware of their own standards and values, to look and listen to things closely, in order to judge the phrases himself, which are served up to us by politicians, economists and not lastly, preached by the church institutions, especially on holidays like Christmas and Easter.

“Be alert,
an election poster, torn, lying on the wet grass –
They leer at me, the old soggy phrases,
senile faces made to look young,
that glorify the Medieval as progress...
See how they urge the people to prudence and sacrifice!
They call them the ‘people’ and mean the subjects.
All that sticky old slime we can bear no more.
Learn to translate what they really mean:
The minister takes the bishop aside and whispers:
You keep them stupid and I’ll keep them poor!
Be alert,
impress the words upon your mind!

Be alert,
and don’t fall for them!
Be sure to use your freedom well;
Freedom gets worn out with lack of use!

Be alert,
and note the faces well!
Be alert,
and preserve your courage, too.
Be alert,
and above all, be on your guard!

You switch on the TV – they lament the good, old values.
Their good, old values are almost always the wrong ones.

And those who shout so loudly in the talk shows,
are those who trample all the good values:
The media mogul and the newspaper czar,
the worst goats as gardeners, how great!
They call for the crucifix, for customs and good manners...
They call them the ‘people’ and mean the subjects.
All that sticky old slime we can bear no more.

But tell the truth, and it’s no laughing matter...
Tell the truth but leave the motor running!
Tell it loud and quick, for as the saying goes:
He who tells the truth needs a mighty quick horse!

Be alert,

Dear friends, be alert, and especially at this time when pagan rituals cover up the truth about Jesus, the Christ, ask yourself: Do you want to be true Christians, to celebrate Christmas in the spirit of the family of Mary and Joseph – or to participate in the deceptive intoxication of rituals, whose continued survival, considering the present economic situation, cannot last for very long?

The Earth with its disasters and wars will shake many a one awake, who today still believes that he can slumber in the bosom of politics and church.

Dear friends, I wish each of you a Christmas in the spirit of the family of Joseph and Mary – the Inner Christmas, the turning within into the stillness of the heart, which lets us feel and experience that we are not alone. The power of God, the light of our Redeemer, Christ, is present in us at every moment. Inner devotion to Christ means a conscious life in being watchful over ourselves. In this way, we gain confidence, stability and vigor and an overview as well, for the demands of daily life.

Christmas is also the celebration of peace. Let us all wish each other the peace of the heart, which means unity – peace with all people, with all beings and forms of life.

In this awareness,
I greet all my brothers and sisters
with all my heart

Gabriele
