The Original Christians and the Officially Recognized Churches
T
he community of the Original Christians in Universal Life is legally recognized in Germany as a community of faith within the spirit of the Constitution of the Republic of Germany. Original Christian principles like equality, freedom, unity, brotherliness and justice are values which were also brought forth by the founding fathers of the Constitution of the Republic of Germany as ideals worthy of achievement in society. Original Christians live in peace, mutual tolerance and respect with their fellow citizens and other religious groups.A
core principle of the Original Christians is freedom. There are neither membership dues, nor taxes, nor rites, nor dogmas, nor rituals; there are neither priests nor splendid buildings made of stone, and no eternal damnation. The large institutions of faith with state powers in Germany understandably see the Original Christian teaching of freedom as a danger. The members of the Catholic and Lutheran Churches who are obligated to pay church taxes are leaving the Church by the hundreds of thousands. Therefore, these institutions fear for the billions which they let the state collects for them.
B
oth official churches maintain large propaganda departments whose task is to fight against those of another faith in a spirit of traditional inquisition. Since direct violence is no longer possible today in Germany which is a state under the rule of law they work predominantly by means of character assassination. The propaganda budget of both official churches in Germany comes annually to approximately 300 million DM (Focus Magazine, 1/98).This mechanism of character assassination (according to Focus 1998, no. 23) is controlled by so-called experts in the Church, who in their capacity as priests and ministers either openly spread untruths or use employees for this. Often these branch offices hide behind harmless terms like "citizens initiative," "associations," or the like.
F
or over 15 years lies about the Original Christians have been spread by the church experts and their accomplices. This impertinence goes so far that the leading expert in this area, a minister, just recently confirmed in writing that he had given a solemn assurance to the court that was false.T
here is no effective legal action that can be taken against character assassination in Germany. Church experts and their teams of advisors package the lies as "expressions of opinion," so that they are not contestable in court. They have even had their right to this confirmed by state courts.T
he victims of a character assassination campaign have no possibility to set the untruth straight. When the official churches themselves do not control the media, they prevent the publication of the truth with their billions.B
esides this, the accusations of the church experts are extremely unimaginative. They simply project the immoral and illegal patterns of behavior from within the circle of official churches onto respectable citizens and mix these with old, old lies from the long tradition of inquisition. The church experts can rightly point out that this strategy has been successful in the past: Millions of people were killed in this way. However, the experience of the past years shows that fewer and fewer people fall for church propaganda, may it be ever so cleverly packaged. More and more people are also recognizing that God and Christ have nothing to do with the official church institutions. For this reason, they also affirm the statement of the Original Christians:
God, Yes Church, No
