Gabriele, the Prophet and Messenger of God for our time, explains this question in the context of the Cosmic School of Life on May 13th, 2001. The new pamphlet from the series “The Prophet” entitled “ The Murder of the Animals is the Death of Man“ was introduced. Here is a brief extract :

Why did God give man a mind? So that he could use it. So that he would weigh things with his mind and with the help of the divine laws, to determine whether what he thinks and does is right in order to then orient himself to the Sermon on the Mount and the Ten Commandments. In this way he refines his character, which allows him to see more clearly, in order to recognize that what others do does not correspond to the truth that God is.

The one who does not use his mind becomes an imitator. He doesn’t think anymore. He allows himself to be manipulated and does what others dictate. Because the majority of people are imitators, they do exactly what the Church tells them to do, in the belief that the church insitution has the truth. Yet these have long moved away from the truth; they only misuse the name of Jesus, the Christ.

The one who is capable of weighing things, using his mind in connection with the divine laws and the Sermon on the Mount of Jesus, knows what he has to do. And the one who doesn’t want to know – one must say this, for everyone has a mind – remains an imitator and does exactly what will not only bring him harm, but also burden his soul in an unspeakable way. For the murder of the animals not only clings to those who kill the animals, but also to those who consume the meat of the animals in a cadaver meal.

Dear brothers and sisters, why did Jesus, the Christ, our Redeemer, give us the Inner Path once again, which He also taught in the Sermon on the Mount? Why did He give us this for the present time? So that we not blindly do something that we do not understand, but instead find our inner values and let them speak for themselves.

The Inner Path is not a command but a help to apply one’s heart, one’s mind, the divine laws and the Sermon on the Mount, in order to weigh out and to measure, in order to ennoble our character, to refine our senses, in order to see clearly what is happening in the world – in order not to participate but to connect in the Spirit of the Lord for Christ, for God, our Father, and for nature, for the animals, indeed, for the cosmic life, which in the end, each of us is.

If we don not want to strive for this, because we do not believe it, then we can simply look into the world, for what is happening in the world will happen to each one shortly, each one according to his inputs. When? Time plays no role here. Our soul lives eternally and what it carries, it will expiate some day, be it in another incarnation or in the spheres of purification.

However, the one who grasps today what the Christ of God wanted and follows Jesus, the Christ, in that he actualizes His teachings step by step, sees more clearly and knows that the grace of God is in the hearts of each one of us. But the grace and mercy of the kind Father in Christ can work for us when we recognize what we have caused, first of all repenting for what we have done, asking for forgiveness and, most important, not repeating what we have recognized. Through this, we refine our senses. Through this, we see more clearly. Our character becomes finer and nobler and we grow closer to our true being that God saw and created: It is the purity in our soul.

God gave man the Inner Path in order to become this once again. And it is possible for each one to purify his soul, to refine his character, to steel his mind in the consciousness of the laws of God and the Sermon on the Mount. However the one who does not want to has chosen.”
